BaseCamp Technology Core
BaseCamp is the embedded core technology that delivers the control and monitoring capabilities for all Z-Wave devices via television set, touch panel, web interface or mobile. BaseCamp provides the key technology for enabling Z-Wave network control by connecting devices to the Internet using TCP/IP, USB, serial or the Z-Wave Z/IP standard. BaseCamp is Linux-based and offers a residential and commercial version. Both BaseCamp versions provide convenient energy usage monitoring and control of Z-Wave devices, including lights, appliances, HVAC, window blinds, garage doors, IP cameras and security systems.

Graphical Interface
With the BaseCamp Graphical Interface, residential users can easily set up and monitor Z-Wave control settings through their television set, while commercial users can control and monitor their warehouses and office buildings through a touch panel or web interface. For both versions, users view the Main Setup Menu in a colorful grid scheme similar to a TV guide interface. The interface allows users to navigate through the on-screen setup and preference selections for all Z-Wave enabled devices. It combines powerful functionality with platform independence. After an initial set up, users have the option of controlling their devices remotely through a web interface, mobile device or a remote control.
